Our Enhanced Learning Environment

We are dedicated to opening our doors to learning with the health and safety of children, families and staff as our top priority.  Our enhanced learning environment follows CDC recommendations as well as state and local guidelines.  We will continue to use guidance from experts and monitor updated protocols as new information is available about COVID-19.  We want to ensure that our children, families and teachers are protected.

Daily Health Observation and
Face Coverings

Due to the new regulations caused by COV

Daily health observations are a normal part of our every day routines.  If there is concern about the health of a child, parents will be contacted.  As of March 7th, face coverings will be optional for students.  Staff,  parents and visitors will continue to wear face coverings when in the building.  This is in alignment with guidance from the CDC and VDOE.  With the current level of community spread being LOW, the CDC indicates that students may wear or not wear a mask based on personal preference (with permission of a parent), informed by personal level of risk.  This is subject to change.

Social Distancing

Classroom setup and routines will be established for individual play and learning.   There will be restricted use of shared materials to the extent possible and toys will be disinfected between uses by children.

Updated Visitor

Parents and essential visitors will be allowed in the building. Face masks are required.  We encourage parents to use our morning front door carpool service 8:30-9:00 a.m. The Seesaw app will be an important source of communication in providing snapshots of your child's day in the classroom.  Email, phone and communication notebooks will also be used.
